Nurse residency program
The Ascension St. Vincent's Residency Program was created for our nurses and is designed to innovate, inspire, and empower as you begin your career with us. Our program is a 12-month acute care focused program. The first three months consists of academic learning and skills development combined with precepted shifts. During this time, focus is placed on honing clinical practice, evidence-based decision making, and leadership skills, while also gaining experience in procedural areas associated with their assigned units. The following nine months consist of monthly academic courses and foundation building. We also have Career Coaching and Specialty Pathways available to our new grads.
