Ascension Benefits
What matters most
As an Ascension associate, you can expect to feel supported in whatever stage of life you’re in. The benefits and more you receive are created with you and your well-being in mind. With at least 12 days of paid time off in addition to 8 paid holidays per year, you fit work into your life, not the other way around. Plus, your medical insurance premium is based on your annual base pay to ensure you have access to affordable care. With our full suite of options, you can build a comprehensive benefits package that works for you and your family
Save money
You work hard for your money. That’s why we’ve designed benefits to help you save money. In addition to low-cost healthcare options for you and your family, add a health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA) to save on out-of-pocket medical costs. If you enroll in an HSA, Ascension contributes too. Utilize other cost-saving offerings like pet insurance, auto and home insurance discounts, legal services, retail discounts and eligible transportation tax breaks.
Prepare for retirement
Preparing for retirement should be as easy and convenient as possible. You can contribute a portion of your paycheck, pre-tax and/or post-tax, through automatic deductions and we’ll match up to a certain percentage of earnings you contribute. Even if you don’t contribute, Ascension will make an annual contribution based on your eligible earnings and years of service. You will also have access to a team of experienced retirement consultants for guidance.
Put your family first
At Ascension, you can be both career-minded and family-focused. You will be empowered with adaptable career options that work for you and your family. With a dependent care FSA, you can make pre-tax dollars to help pay for daycare, nursery school, preschool, after-school, senior day care, and more for your eligible dependents. If you are expanding your family, you will receive paid parental leave for the birth giving parent and non-birth giving parent and adoptive parents. Plus, if you are adopting, you can receive financial support through our adoption assistance program.
Live healthy
Join a team that protects your physical, mental, spiritual, financial, social and occupational wellness. Enjoy benefits that support your overall well-being, including comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage, a no-cost Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) and a variety of resources designed to help you practice self-care.
Grow your career
When you join Ascension, you will be empowered with the tools you need to choose your own path. If you are considering enrolling in college-level classes to advance your career, you can take advantage of our tuition reimbursement program, as well as tips and insights on repayment and refinancing options for public and private student loans, and the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. You will also have free access to professional development resources such as career coaching, online learning modules and leadership programs.
Prepare for the unexpected
To help you prepare for the future, we offer disability, life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance at no cost to you. You also have the option to purchase additional coverage, including child and spouse life insurance. Access to voluntary accident and critical illness insurance can further help you minimize financial impact from unexpected events.
