What is a patient care technician?A patient care technician (PCT) works in our critical care settings and assists with personal care and daily activities, documents patient records, maintains medical equipment and collaborates with nursing staff on patient care. PCTs have opportunities in a variety of specialties and shifts.
What is a certified nursing assistant?A certified nursing assistant (CNA) tends to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse, including patients’ personal care, daily activities, transfers or transport and helps report on the patient’s condition. At Ascension, CNAs primarily work in our senior living communities.
