What You Will Do

As a Compensation Analyst with Physician Services in Ascension | Seton's physician compensation department , you will have the opportunity to perform physician compensation analysis , modeling , and reporting

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize an array of data to perform analysis related to the fair market value and commercial reasonableness of various types of physician arrangements
  • Develop , implement , and evaluate physician compensation strategies and models which align with financial and organizational objectives
  • Analyze metrics such as work relative value units , visits , charges and collections and identifies trends and variances on compensation
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements , contractual obligations , and network policy on compensation
  • Serve as consultant to all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives and programs on compensation
  • Participate in market benchmarking surveys and provides analysis regarding survey results for compensation
  • Assist with the external fair market value process to include gathering relevant data and collaborating with leadership and consultants
  • Perform special projects and duties as assigned for compensation , including research , forecasting and exploring viable alternatives
  • Ensure that adequate and appropriate documentation is maintained for all physician transactions

 

What You Will Need

Education:

  • Diploma 
    • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required

Work Experience:

  • None required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proficient in Excel is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the physician compensation regulatory environment experience is strongly preferred  
  • Experience with concepts of fair market value and commercial reasonableness is strongly preferred
  • Valuation experience is a plus
