Ascension St. Francis Hospital is hiring a full-time night RN to join our Cardiac Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit. This position typically works 12-hour shifts, 7pm-7am, but we do have some 8-hour options available if preferred. What You Will Do

As a Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse with Ascension St. Francis Hospital, you will have the opportunity to provide direct patient care to age ranges from young adults to geriatrics. These are post-cardiac and vascular surgery patients. Additional patients may include other heart-related conditions requiring high-frequency monitoring and interventions.

You will have many opportunities for assessments, lab value analysis, patient/family teaching, wound care, IVs, and medication administration/management. This position will have the opportunity to learn drips.

You will:

• Implement and monitor patient care plans within the cardiac stepdown intermediate care unit.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care on the unit.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders on the cardiac stepdown intermediate care unit.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 

Education:

• Diploma 
  • Graduate of a board-approved Registered Nurse Program required.

Work Experience:

• No experience required. New grads and experienced RNs are encouraged to apply!
