The Sacred Heart Float Staff is composed of associates who demonstrate expertise and flexibility in a variety of areas. Float Staff associates have resilience, excellent bedside manner, the ability to work well under in a variety of situations and areas of expertise, heightened communication and interpersonal skills, and exude teamwork.

 

As a highly adaptable office operations assistant, you will be called to work on various medical group offices and float between clinics in the Destin area. This will allow you the opportunity to meet a variety of coworkers and patients within Sacred Heart, and develop your skills as a medical professional.

Schedule: Our clinics are open from 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday. Full-time front desk clerks work 8 hour days, M-F between those hours.

 

As an Associate with Sacred Heart Health System-FL, you will have the opportunity to work in a customer service capacity providing administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in an outpatient clinic and/or medical office setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets patients and visitors, checks patients in and out, and obtains necessary documentation. Verifies and enters demographic information.

  • Obtains and verifies insurance authorizations/precertification. Completes medical record release requests and schedules/confirms patient appointments.

  • Enters, reviews and submits charges for patient procedures and services daily. Collects co-payments and reconciles all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.

  • Provides general office and clerical support to assigned out-patient/medical office.

 

Required Education and Work Experience:

Education:

  • Diploma 

    • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:

  • None required.

    • Previous 2+ years’ experience working in a physician office or clinic setting strongly preferred
