RN Registered Nurse - Acute Stepdown

St. John Health System has opportunities available for full-time, Acute Stepdown Nurses at our main campus in Tulsa, OK. 
We offer both Day and Night shifts- 6:30am-7pm or 6:30pm-7am. 36 hours per week.

This fast paced 28-bed unit provides nurses with the opportunity to work with a variety of medical patients. What you will do
As a Registered Nurse with the Acute Stepdown Care Team, you will be integrated into our work family. We foster a strong team environment based on mutual respect and trust. Our personalities are strong, but we make sure everyone has a voice in the care of our patients.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Qualities our Acute Care Nurse should possess:
  • Must have a keen sense of ethics
  • Confidence with the ability to take direction and constructive criticism
  • Educational competence and continual desire to learn skills to reflect current nursing practices.
  • Able to communicate effectively in a variety of formats in all areas of practice.
  • Demonstrates leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.
 
Required Credentials:
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. 
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.  
  • Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
Education:
  • Diploma 
    • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required

  • None required
