What You Will Do

As a Medication Assistance Coordinator with Sacred Heart Health System-FL, you will have the opportunity to identify sources of medications and medication programs for eligible patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and disseminates criteria to be used in obtaining free prescription medications for patients.
  • Communicates with pharmaceutical companies to obtain approvals.
  • Processes paperwork and maintains computerized patient/program records.
  • Reconciles Medicaid and third-party insurance payments.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy. 

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required

Work Experience:

  • Medical Experience, Microsoft EXCEL, Good Mathematic Skills, Medical terminology, Insurance / Authorization experience preferred.
