RN-Triage - Ascension Connect Nurse Access WI - PRN, Rotating - 222 W College Ave - Appleton, WI

Come work with a GREAT Team!

Must have weekly availbility of 1-2 days per week incuding weekends/holidays for consideration!

You must also be available to work ANY shift in addition to Holidays and Weekends. 

3 Months Formal Training conducted in Appleton or possibly Oshkosh. Some travel expected.  

2-3 weeks for 4-5 days of training required. (Days shift)

Weeks 3-4 evening shift for training required  (Evening Shift hours 2p-10p or  3p-11p shift examples)

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension, you will have the opportunity to provide patients with nursing support by telephone.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares documentation information and transmits medical information.
  • Provides non-judgmental triage and/or advice using the nursing process, specific protocols and established resources.
  • Directs callers to appropriate level of care and provides healthcare advice/education using assessment skills, approved guidelines, and knowledge of self-care practices.
  • Selects and delivers appropriate follow-up materials.
  • Provides professional, safe and effective care-related advice to patients.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
    • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required
