Full Time – Monday through Friday – 7am to 3:30pm
St. Vincent’s Chilton has 3 OR’s and 2 GI procedure Rooms. 10 Preoperative beds and 10 Recovery beds. Our average case load is 225 a month and can range from Young adults to Geriatrics.
Located in the center of Alabama on Interstate 65, halfway between the cities of Birmingham and Montgomery. Our city's parks and recreation facilities are beautiful, convenient and offer something for everyone year-round. Visitors to our city enjoy an abundant selection of hotels, restaurants, and attractions, and because of our proximity to the larger cities, day trips to an even larger selection of entertainment sources are convenient
What you will do:
Develops specific departmental goals, standards and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Assesses quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians and other departments.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. May perform and oversee processes such as scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagement.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Maintains systems to assure adequate levels of supplies and necessary equipment.
Manages daily surgery schedule maintaining communication with all disciplines involved.
Plans and prioritizes day-to-day activities of personnel. Adjust staffing to compensate for emergency situations or increase or decrease inpatient census.
Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
3 years of experience required. OR Experience preferred
1 year of Leadership or Management Experience Required
BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
