Position: RN Registered Nurse
Department: Innovative Professional Development Unit (IPDU)
Schedule: Full Time, Rotating - Will work three 12-hour shifts per week (6:30AM–7:00PM or 6:30PM-7:00AM)
Location: St. John Medical Center - Tulsa, OK
Our new grad program Innovative Professional Development Unit (IPDU), which is housed on 12W, offers an in depth, year-long orientation to new grads. This program builds the foundation for strong and sound nursing practice through preceptorship, reflective practice, milestone meetings and continuing education. New grads who participate in this program have the opportunity to discover various areas of nursing and build strong relationships with staff.
Cardiopulmonary Acute Care (12W), home of the Innovative Professional Development Unit (IPDU) offers a culture of education, support and team work. This high acuity department offers the utmost level of care for patients, while supporting new grads with a curriculum built around training and mentorship. There are many opportunities to develop and grow professionally and as an educator. All RN’s on this floor will serve as mentors for new grads in all aspects of nursing. Leadership seeks out team members who excel in a supportive environment.

What You Will Do
As an Associate with St John Health System, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing .
Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
