Practice Transformation Director

As a Practice Transformation Director  with Ascension Medical Group, you will have the opportunity to lead the performance improvement actives for the Ascension Medical Group offices. The Ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of Physician Billing Cycle and EMR capacities. Strong interpersonal skills are key in working with both internal Customer and vendors to achieve process improvement goals.
 
Full-Time, Day , M-F to include weekend coverage in alignment with clinic operations
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Assists Operational Directors, Physicians and Practice Managers with the development and implementation of Clinical Workflow Optimizations.
  • Liaison of Revenue Cycle communications and change agent for maximizing efficiencies in clinical workflow. 
  • Gathers and analyzes EMR data. Prepares reports on the workflow process of physician practices and meets with practice leadership and physicians to review status.
  • Evaluates clinical EMR activities including care plan development, service level determination and complaint management.
  • Understands the accounts receivable function.  Develops systems that ensure appropriate coding services, timely filing of claims, timely refund processing, and effective follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Leads team of Transformation Specialists as assigned to ensure metrics and effective operations are achieved. This includes staff performance oversight, setting work direction and priorities, and assuring appropriate work distribution.
• Communicates with Ascension Medical Group associates, other health ministries, and NRSC leadership to facilitate greater performance.  Leads and supports projects specific to the ministry
  • Develops departmental goals, plans and standards.
• Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares departmental budgets and ensures compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Evaluates clinical EMR activities including care plan development, service level determination and complaint management.
 
 
 
Responsibilities:

  • Assists Practice Managers with the development and implementation of policies, procedures and guidelines and with periodic evaluation of operational processes. Assesses relevancy to changing goals and objectives, including charge capture/reconciliation, billing compliance, and revenue management.
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree required 
  • 5 years of relevant work experience required. 
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required
Equivalent Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree,
  • 5 years of relevant work experience required. 
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required
 
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Master’s Degree
  • 10 years of relevant experience 
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience 
  • Project Management and /or System IT background
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle background
