St. John Sapulpa is located only 20 minutes from downtown Tulsa. It is easy access from the freeway and takes you in the opposite direction of rush hour traffic. St. John Sapulpa, a member of St. John Health System, staffed with our committed physicians, nurses and specialists working with state-of-the-art technologies in a wide array of disciplines. Our 25-bed, non-profit hospital offers full-service primary care as well as gastroenterology, general surgery, ophthalmology and podiatry. A critical care hospital, offers a full range of services, including, emergency care, cardiac care, physical and occupational rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, surgical services, radiology, including mammography, ultrasound, x-ray, MRI, and CT, and laboratory services.
We are a critical access hospital with a 10 bed Emergency Department. If you are looking for a smaller team, then look no further! Our team in this department works together to provide care for the patients in the Emergency Department. As an Associate with St John Health System, you will have the opportunity to provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during air transport.
Identify, intervene, and stabilize the ill or injured patient during interfacility and intrafacility transport under the direction and in collaboration with the transport physician and/or Registered Nurse (RN).
Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition and treatment, as appropriate.
Provide population specific education to the patient and family about the patient's illness and therapeutic interventions.
Inspect, maintain and care for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public.
