What You Will Do
Department of Surgery at Saint Agnes Hospital is currently recruiting a Bariatric Surgeon to join two other surgeons in an exclusive practice of metabolic and bariatric surgery. It was the first program in the State of Maryland to receive accreditation through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP® in 2006, Saint Agnes Hospital has an established record of outstanding outcomes in weight-loss surgery.
- Opportunities for teaching surgical residents and conducting clinical research are available.
What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
- Required Credential(s):
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office
- Board Certified in General Surgery
- Certified with the American Board of Obesity Medicine
- Preferred Credential(s):
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). Verified by local Credentialing Office
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
- Fellowship trained in MIS and Bariatrics
Experience:
- Candidates should be committed to excellence in clinical care and wortk collaboratively within a team setting
- Extensive full-spectrum laparoscopic bariatric experience required
