What You Will Do
We are currently seeking an APP to cover weekend trauma and acute care surgery at a busy level 2 trauma center in Round Rock. The APP is responsible for rounding on all floor and ICU patients, covering all consults for inpatient and ED, first assisting in the operating room for acute cases, and assisting in the day to day clinical decision making of the trauma and acute care service. Day to day responsibilities include H&P/consultation/daily progress note/discharge documentation, first assisting in the operating room, formulating plans on acute trauma patients, closure of lacerations, tube thoracostomy, central line insertion, and other procedures. For APRN's and NP's a RNFA is recommended. The schedule is Fri-Sun 7am-3pm. The hours and times are non-negotiable. Part time benefits, CME, and PTO are available with the part time position.
What You Will Need
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board.
• Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
• Master's degree preferred
