Shift Details: Full Time Night shift position. Our hours are 7p to 7a. Associates are placed on a 4-week rotation which does not change, allowing the associate to know well in advance of their scheduled days. It is a 3/12-hour shift position, working one weekend a month with a 7 day off stretch either before or after their weekend.

What you will do:
Here at St. Vincent’s East, you will be joining a motivated, energetic staff and will be introduced to a team environment. It is common to have a wide variety of patient populations with multiple comorbidities ranging from respiratory, cardiac, sepsis as well as fresh post op patients.
Some of the duties include but are not limited to: Bed side rounding on all pts, Blood sugars, Diaper changing, Documentation, Stocking, Assist patients with ADL. Take pts that are being discharged out to their cars and Assist with taking patients to procedures or help transfer to other units.
St. Vincent’s East is a 362-bed hospital, located just 15 minutes from downtown. Situated between Irondale and Trussville, AL. It is the second largest Ascension hospital in the Birmingham area. 6North, Cardiac Step-Down is a private 18 bed unit that specializes in cardiac care for patients.
Here at St. Vincent’s East, you will be joining a motivated, energetic staff and will be introduced to a team environment. Duties include but not limited to taking vitals with Dina maps and charting in the computer, Blood sugars using glucometers, Bathing, Feeding, Changing linens, and customer service
