What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Seton, you will have the opportunity to provide high quality patient care in conjunction with fellow team members during transport between facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs assessment and stabilization of patients as well as any necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
  • Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments by collaborating with team members and multidisciplinary members.
  • Participates in decision-making and partners with the multidisciplinary team to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Completes all appropriate medical documentation.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
    • One or more of the following:
      • Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Allowed in lieu of BLS Provider.
      • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. 
      • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Allowed in lieu of Pediatric Life Support.
      • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Allowed in lieu of Neonatal Resuscitation.
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Certification specializing in ER Vehicle Operation. 
    • Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Flight. 
    • Drivers License. 
    • Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). 
    • Paramedic. 

Education:

  • Diploma 
    • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience:

  • None required.
  • 3 - 5 years Labor & Delivery and High-Risk Care preferred.
