What You Will Do
Our Lead Clinical Professional is a great mix of patient care and the bigger picture! In this role you serve as a Charge Nurse / Unit Lead while still having your own patient assignments quite often. You’ll enjoy working closely with our Nurse Manager and growing in your leadership skills through getting involved in administrative tasks, projects and committees. This role can be a stepping stone into a Nursing Supervisor (House Supervisor), Nurse Manager or other leadership / broader scope position.
This position is on our 20-bed unit used for 23 hour observation of patients from the Emergency Department as it is determined if they will need to be admitted. It is an extremely fast paced unit where admissions and discharges move quickly. You would be exposed to patients with chest pain, those needing imaging, stress testing, echocardiograms or the like to determine their diagnosis / needs. Many of our patients are on telemetry. We also get overflow from our med / surg units as well post op patients from procedures where recovery time is less than 24 hours.
This is a full time, hourly position, working 36 hours per week (three 12-hour shifts) on the night shift (7P-7:30A).
