Technician-PCT, Patient Care - Orthopedics Unit 002 - Part-Time,Night - Ascension Providence Hospital, Novi Campus
Unit Description: Ascension Providence Hospital, Novi Campus offers a comprehensive range of coordinated inpatient and outpatient orthopedic services. Our unit does approximately 1000 total joint replacement surgical procedures each year. The latest treatment approaches and state of the art techniques are being used. A focus on relationship-based care combined with advanced medical surgical nursing allows us to care for the changing needs of these patients throughout their stay. These units also take medical/surgical patients as beds are available.
Scheduled Hours: This associate will work two 12 hour shifts per week starting at 7:00PM. This will include rotating weekends and holidays.

What You Will Do
As an Associate with Ascension St. John Health-MI, you will have the opportunity to perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area.
Responsibilities:
- Aids with entry and exit of patients.
- Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
- Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
- Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.
What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
Education:
- Diploma
- High school diploma or GED required
