Technician-PCT, Patient Care - MED SURG 6 WEST - Part-Time,Day - Ascension St John Hospital
Unit Description: We are a 23 bed medical/surgical telemetry unit. Six beds are devoted to the Suites at St. John. The Suite are luxury private rooms offering unique patient experience. Our 6 west team provides spiritually centered holistic care with a relationship based on focus. Alternative modalities such as aromatherapy, music therapy, and guided imagery are offered. We offer an environment of teamwork, support, and professional development. Patient care opportunities include CVA, COPD, pneumonia, diabetic management, wound care, comfort care/hospice and minor surgery patients.
Scheduled Hours: This associate will work two 12 hour shifts per week starting at 7:00AM. This will include rotating weekends and holidays.

What You Will Do
As an Associate with Ascension St. John Health-MI, you will have the opportunity to perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area.
Responsibilities:
- Aids with entry and exit of patients.
- Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
- Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
- Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment.
What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
Education:
- Diploma
- High school diploma or GED required
