Phlebotomy Technician - Woodbridge

We Are Hiring

Technician-Phlebotomy - Lab Woodbridge - Part-Time Day, 24 Hours Weekly - Ascension Borgess at Woodbridge Hills - Portage, MI

Two 12 hour shifts per week (7-7 on Tuesday and Thursday). In addition you will work 4 hours (8-noon) on every other Saturday morning. No holidays.

What You Will Do

As an associate with Ascension Michigan, you will have the opportunity to collect and process blood specimens for testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Draws and collects blood samples according to policy. Verifies all related records.
  • Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing according to protocol.
  • Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.
  • Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.
  • Assists with office duties such as OP orders, answering phone, faxing, and filing.

What You Will Need

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Work Experience:

  • Previous Phlebotomy experience preferred.
