Genesys PACE, a member of the Ascension Living family, has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with long term care experience to join our team.

Standard working hours:  8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday

PACE (Program of All- Inclusive Care for the Elderly) offers a range of medical and supportive services that can be provided at the PACE center or in the comfort of home 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Our many relationships with specialists and providers in the community ensure that you get the care you need. Participants also receive social and recreational services in our PACE center located in downtown Flint.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Senior Living, you will have the opportunity to implement the Nutrition element of the Program intervention.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Program Director with efforts to actively promote the Program to prospective participants and health care professionals as needed.
  • Provides nutrition education, counseling, and coaching to participants about the implementation of the Program's nutrition guidelines.
  • Delivers nutrition lectures/sessions and cooking demos/classes according to Program guidelines.
  • Conducts a nutritional assessment for nutritional adequacy on each participant.
  • Communicates clinical issues to the nurse case manager and medical director.
  • Participates in the development of the interdisciplinary treatment plan to ensure the quality and clinical effectiveness of the program, and the safety of each participant.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider. 
Education:
  • Diploma 
    • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
Work Experience:
  • None required.
