What You Will Do
Texas Spine and Scoliosis Center, a spine center of excellence, is looking for a fellowship-trained, experienced spinal deformity surgeon with special focus on: scoliosis, complex degenerative spine reconstruction, revision spine surgery, and possibly pediatric deformity. The candidate should be either a spine-fellowship-trained orthopedic or neurosurgeon, with additional training and experience in spinal deformity surgery. The current spinal deformity surgeon performs over 90% spinal deformity surgery with a large catchment and very long wait-time for an appointment. The practice is seeking a surgeon to complement the existing complex scoliosis care at a regional center of excellence. Ample opportunity exists to build a practice via spine-only trauma and consult call at any of 4 level-II trauma centers within a 20 minute drive. This is an established spinal deformity program that has an active research program with a PhD research scientist on staff. Our physicians are on the faculty of the University of Texas, Dell Medical School and provide the primary spine rotation for the orthopedic residency
