RN Registered Nurse Circulator
Department: Operating Room
Schedule: Full Time Days; Monday through Friday; 6:30am–3:00pm (will require some call with a 30-minute respond time)

St. John Owasso, a member of St. John Health System, has a 24-hour emergency department, state-of-the-art surgical suites, and all-digital diagnostic imaging, featuring CT, MRI, mammography and bone density scanners. The hospital’s Center for Women’s Health is equipped with spacious, modern birthing suites, post-partum and women’s services suites and a newborn nursery.
In our Operating Room we have 4 OR suites with a close-knit group of employees that work hard and well with each other. Being a smaller community hospital provides us with an environment that feels like a family. We are looking for individuals that want to play an integral role in the success of our department while working with wonderful staff members. As a Registered Nurse Circulator, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge of procedures and techniques as we offer a variety of specialties and opportunities for professional growth. Specialties offered are: OB/GYN, Ortho, Plastics, General Surgery, Podiatry and Eyes. Our RN’s are offered an in-depth comprehensive orientation that allows them to train in every specialty ensuring they have the necessary tools and experience to be successful.
As an Associate with St John Health System, you will have the opportunity to facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures within the operating suite. As a valuable member of the Operating Room team, your expertise in the theory and application of nursing techniques and your combined knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies are used to facilitate a successful operation.
Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
