What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Ministry Sevice Center, you will have the opportunity to track, analyze and approve day-to-day accounts payable transactions.

As an AP Quality Assurance Specialist with Ascension Ministry Service Center, you will have the opportunity to assist with the design, implementation and maintenance of the P2P Quality Assurance (QA) Program. Initiate, investigate, track, trend and verify effectiveness of actions with the QA Process components and work directly with Managers, Supervisors and staff on corrective and preventive actions within the AP team for Ascension Health Ministries. The role will also assist with project related work in support of department initiatives, training, documentation review and metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify high level trends that have an impact to the organization and escalate the issue/incident appropriately
  • Analyze data to ensure proper accounts payable procedures have been followed
  • Provide external auditors with requested information, ensure documentation is complete and accurate, and collaborate with operational staff
  • Assist and facilitate in the development of planned and systemic processes for continuous quality improvement throughout the department
  • Assist in developing long range continuous improvement plans to accomplish quality; evaluate and provide suggestions to improve system efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Perform duties and tasks in a timely and compliant manner, ensuring accurate documentation and conclusions
  • Ensure that the team’s Service Level Agreement metrics are met and improved; Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures necessary to support operations; Identify and provide solutions to improve work processes, enhance quality, productivity, and service
  • Compliance:  Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements as well as financial and accounting standards, making recommendations on interpretation as needed for specific situations; Performs responsibilities in full compliance with standards, policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive work relationships with members of other teams in the Ministry Service Center, health ministries and Associates to communicate effectively and to ensure compliance with cross-team responsibilities

What You Will Need

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associated degree in business or related field preferred
  • Quality Auditor certification (ASQ or equivalent) preferred

Experience:

  • 3-5 years Quality Assurance related experience preferred
  • Minimum of three years experience working with ERP Accounts Payable and/or Procurement module(s) preferred
