Work Schedule: Hours are  Monday-Friday 7:30a-8p, Weekends 8:30-5.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Seton Family of Hospitals-TX, you will have the opportunity to lead assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in pharmacy services in a retail/outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associate.
  • Serves as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff.Assigns, monitors and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and/or procedures.
  • Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
  • Oversees daily activities of the Pharmacy 3-Technicians under the direction of the pharmacist and management. Participates in problem solving within the department.
  • Assists with specialty projects and tasks as assigned by Pharmacy Management.
  • Assists with specialty projects and tasks as assigned by Pharmacy Management.

  • Participates in committee work as assigned by management

  • Responsible for inventory management of pharmacy 

    • Coordination with case management and hospital staff to ensure smooth discharge process 

    • Coordinate with account manager for associate prescriptions 

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy .  

Education:

  • Diploma 
    • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required

Work Experience:

  • 1 year of experience required.
  • 3 years retail with progressive amounts of responsibilty
