Child Care Attendant - Fitness Center 002 - PRN, Rotating -

St Vincent's 119 Heallth & Wellness - Hoover, AL

This position would be hired and started immediately. 

Schedule varies - looking for morning shifts 7:30-11:30 and evening shifts 3:30 - 7:30.  Hours could be across service times and on weekends.

As an Associate with St. Vincent's Health System-AL, you will have the opportunity to provide a safe environment for children.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures children are supervised at all times.
  • Ensures the environment is safe, clean and in good repair. Reports deficiencies to supervisor immediately.
  • Follows acceptable protocol when accepting children for child care coverage.
  • Interacts with children and parents appropriately.
  • Assists in maintaining the ordered arrangement, appearance, dcor, and learning environment of the classroom while allowing for the expressive and creative involvement and interaction of children.

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. 

Education:

  • Diploma 
    • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:

  • None required.
  • 2+ years working with children - preference for experience as a teacher, in childcare setting, camp, church daycare, nursing students, related fields
