Dental Project Coordinator

Position Summary

The Dental Project Coordinator will create, execute and align program goals with the strategic vision of the organization, lead program development and ongoing coordination including program oversight, complex care navigation and reporting analysis. Program development includes developing referral pathways, executing contractual agreements, defining standardized processes, coordinating PR and development efforts and creating and maintaining budgets. This role will also include advanced member navigation, oversight of the administration of the dental program, and coordination of other programs as assigned. 

Core Qualifications

  • Strong personal alignment with, and a commitment to, HAAM’s mission

  • 2 years experience running programs and working with clients in healthcare, social service and/or membership organization.

  • Experience with community and/or provider outreach including relationship building and partnership development

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Experience developing and tracking budgets and analysis 

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills 

  • Balance multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously to deliver high quality work

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, FileMaker Pro, Office 365, RedCap, Google Suite, QuickBooks, Salesforce

  • Ability to work independently and closely within a team

  • Strong critical thinking skills and possess a problem-solving aptitude

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high impact environment with minimal supervision

  • Can-do spirit and a natural ability to build positive relationships quickly

  • A self-starter who embraces new challenges and is internally motivated to succeed

Health Alliance for Austin Musicians is an Austin-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides access to affordable health care for Austin’s low-income, working musicians, with a focus on prevention and wellness. We have helped over 5,300 musicians access over 56,000 healthcare appointments valued at over $73 million dollars since we began in 2005.


What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Seton, you will have the opportunity to coordinate and/or lead assigned project(s).

Highlighted position responsibilities

  • Assist in the definition of dental project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Develop a detailed project plan to administer referrals, accounts receivable/ accounts payable of HAAM Dental Program 

  • Assist in development of and launch of new dental database

  • Provide navigation to members with complex dental needs 

  • Monitor and track progress of metrics according to dental grant goals

  • Monitor and track overall annual Dental program budget, creating projections and adjusting operations appropriately

  • Establish and maintain relationships with dental providers

  • Track HAAM Dental project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

  • Completes weekly data analysis reporting

  • Oversees billing and accounting of dental claims

  • Coordinates and prepares project meeting agendas

  • Lead duties during HAAM’s Open Enrollment 

  • Other duties as assigned
