Job Title:  Clinical Nurse Specialist- APRN

Department:  Nursing Administration 

Location:  Ascension All Saints Hospital

City, State:  Racine, WI

Hours: Full-time. Primarily day shift Monday thru Friday with varied schedule as needed.

What You Will Do

As an associate with All Saints Hospital of Racine, WI you will have the opportunity to provide advanced care, consultation, research, management and education in a specific clinical area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides advanced direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Serves as an expert consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Contributes to defining, directing and evaluating the nursing care and functions of clinical staff.
  • Manages clinical research projects in support of evidence-based practice and disseminates findings.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
  • May assess the learning needs of patients and families and develops and/or implements teaching programs.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date. 
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
    • One or more of the following:
      • Clinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. All specialties accepted.
      • Clinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. All specialties accepted.
      • Clinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. All specialties accepted.

Education:

  • Diploma 
    • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
    • Master's degree required.

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar or related role. 
  • Stable work history is required.
  • Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, process improvement, change, innovation or change management is strongly preferred.
