Child Life Specialist - Part-Time

Child Life Specialist- Pediatric Support Svcs 002 - Part-Time,Rotating - Indianapolis-2001 West 86th St - Indianapolis,IN

Work Schedule: 11am-11:30pm rotating, Sunday-Saturday

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and a 600 hour clinical child life internship or someone that is already a certified child life specialist.

What You Will Do

As a Child Life Specialist Associate with St. Vincent Health-IN, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the health care team to provide social, emotional, and developmental support during a pediatric patient's illness and hospitalization.

Responsibilities:

  • Supplies a caring and secure atmosphere for patients and their families in pediatrics.
  • Collaborates with the health care team to plan appropriate interventions.
  • Develops and/or participates in outreach and educational activities to teach families, staff, and the community about issues and services related to ill and hospitalized children.
  • Maintains proper education to continue with professional development.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Child Life Professional credentialed from the Association of Child Life Professionals obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

Work Experience:

  • None required.
