Part Time ~28 hours weekly. Evening Shifts from 2pm-10:30pm. Rotating weekends and holidays.  Occasionally a day shift if needed.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension, you will have the opportunity to communicate with patients, participants and staff to accurately schedule patients for prescribed procedures. Performs clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers necessary demographic, insurance and clinical information from patient and enters into appropriate database. Seeks appropriate resources to resolve issues about the type, date or location of prescribed procedures.
  • Schedules patient procedures in a manner that most efficiently utilizes the patient's time and clinical resources. Coordinates and communicates schedules.
  • Assists with coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification/authorization.
  • Provides counseling to patient, participant or their representative regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.

Part Time Schedule:

This is a .7 position. Example of schedule is below

Sun 11a-7:30p, Mon 2p-10:30a, Tues off, Wed 2p-10:30p, Thu 2p-10:30p, Fri off, Sat off, Sun off, Mon 6-2:30 p. Tues 6-2:20p, Wed off, Thurs off, Fri off, Sat 11a-7:30p

What You Will Need

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification required
  • High school diploma or GED required.
