Clinic Specialty:  Family Medicine / Internal Medicine

Location: Ascension Columbia St Mary's Gateway Health Center

Address:  801 South 70th St, West Allis, WI 53214

Work Schedule: Full Time, 36 hours per week, weekend rotation

Clinic Hours:  Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to Noon

What You Will Do

As an associate with Ascension Columbia St. Mary's, you will have the opportunity to assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse.
  • Performs select clinical duties.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
  • Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
  • Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.
  • Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date. 

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience:

  • Strongly prefer candidates with experience working as a Medical Assistant.
  • Healthcare background and experience in a clinic setting is strongly preferred.
  • Work experience in the healthcare record EPIC is preferred.
