Patient Access Coordinator
Department:  Adult Intensive Care Unit 
Schedule:  Full-Time, Day shift. Mon - Thur.  40 hours per week.
Location: Ascension St. John Medical Center

 

Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU) is a 22-bed medical intensive care area.  This is a fulfilling environment that requires detailed oriented staff to learn and adapt quickly in caring for our adult population.   Our staff are equipped to teach, lead and mentor new associates to aid in their development and success.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension St. John, you will have the opportunity to coordinate the daily operations of assigned area(s).

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates patient access activities, such as registration, billing, and scheduling.
  • Assists management in establishing and implementing goals.
  • Serves as a liaison between clinical and administrative areas to ensures sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements.
  • Assists in monitoring budgets, staffing levels, quality measures, and/or regulatory compliance.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Coordinator specializing in Healthcare. 
Education:
  • Diploma 
    • High school diploma or GED required
Work Experience:
  • None required.
