Behavioral Health Counselor

Behavioral Health Counselor - Residential Program - Full-Time, Day - Anderson-2210 Jackson Street - Anderson, IN

This position will be working in the adolescent Day School program.  Shift/Hours will be 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday -Friday.  Will also need to work 1 Saturday approximately every 12 weeks as well as be in the rotation for Holiday coverage (approximately 1 holiday every 2 years).

What You Will Do

As a Behavioral Health Counselor with St. Vincent Health-IN, you will have the opportunity to provide behavioral health counseling services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.
  • Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
  • Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
  • Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
  • Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

    • None Required.
Education:
  • Diploma 
    • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or Psychology required
Work Experience:
  • None required.
