What you will do
Responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and program development and operations for the orthopedic service line. Works in collaboration with physician and administrative leadership at each hospital to develop and implement policies, procedures, marketing plans, and programmatic structure to ensure the highest level of care, support to increase growth, services, and outcomes.
Develop strategic initiatives to position service line for growth within the marketplace (both in volume and reputation).
Serves as the content expert within the service line and leads the management of the service line.
Evaluate environmental factors and trends to tailor service line strategy for current and future success.
Work with Ministry Market leadership to identify and evaluate new opportunities, JVs/partnerships, and affiliations to promote growth.
Set direction for the expansion of existing clinical programs and the development of comprehensive new programs/areas across the care continuum.
Work with Physician Lead to set quality goals and facilitate achievement of quality goals and measurable quality outcomes.
Develops and markets expanded and/or new services in response to innovation, technology, strategic developments or compensation consistent with the goals of the clinical service.
Develop and implement cost, Clinical Process Reliability (CPR), efficiency plans.
Interface with Ascension system entities and services (e.g., Marketing and Communications, ACRI, Legal, The Resource Group, Navion, etc.).
Facilitate a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability across disciplines within the service line.
Use the ‘Alignment Guide’ to further relationships between Ascension and AMG/affiliated physicians (e.g., invite affiliated physicians to become part of AMG, facilitate alignment of performance-based compensation, identify JVs, pursue payer contracts, etc.).
Outline the annual service line strategic plan and operating budget and monitor progress throughout the year.
What you will need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
7 years of experience required.
10 years of experience preferred.
4 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
