Registered Nurse - RN - Float - Emergency Dept/ Emergency Room - Float Staffing 001 - Part-Time, Night - Seton Northwest Hospital - Austin, TX

Schedule: 12hr shifts with weekends and holidays.

Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital is a destination for specialty care - including trauma care, spiritual care, mammography, maternity services and women's health. We also have the Orthopedic Institute, the Urology Center of Excellence and Dell Children’s Emergency Care onsite.  Our OB-GYN maternity care teams at our Birthing Center which includes a level II special care nursery, deliver a personalized birthing experience and advanced neonatal care for sick babies. We offer a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, imaging, lab tests and rehabilitation services, all on one campus.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Seton Family of Hospitals-TX, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serves as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assesses and coordinates patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. 
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.  
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Advanced Life Support. 
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support. 

Education:

  • Diploma 
    • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience:

  • None required.
  • 1-2 years of ED or ER experience preferred.
