Registered Nurse - Boarding Unit/Emergency Department. Full-Time working 3 Shifts/week; No weekends. **New Hires Eligible for $15k Sign On Bonus**
Ascension Lourdes in Binghamton, New York is seeking an experienced critical care nurse to care for patients who are admitted from our Emergency Department and boarding awaiting a bed on one of our inpatient nursing units. This position will work every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and 12-hour shifts; no weekends. You may need to work a holiday if it falls on one of your scheduled days to work. You are also welcomed to pick up additional shifts to work either directly in the Emergency Department or one one of the inpatient nursing units.
Lourdes has created a designated pod within the Emergency Department for our boarding patients. You will care for up to 7 patients in the designated pod complete with your own nurses station. You will be supported by a designated patient care technician in providing the care and attention to your patients so that routine rounding, tasks and physician orders are completed. You will be accountable for the coordination of care along with ongoing patient assessments for our boarding patients and will serve as the primary nurse when working with the inpatient nursing units to safely transfer your patients to the inpatient unit.
