Are you an RN with experience in Diabetes Education? We would love to speak with you! Ascension is looking for a Clinical Educator to support the Diabetes team located Seton Medical Center Rehab in Austin, TX. 

Hours: M-F 8:30- 5 PM

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension, you will have the opportunity to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities planning for an assigned service or population.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
  • Develops, implements and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
  • Serves as a resource for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
  • Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs, including preceptor programs.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • BSN preferred
    • CDCES strongly preferred. Educator specializing in Diabetes Management. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required

Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience preferred
  • 1-3 years educating experience preferred
