Pharmacy Technician - St. Vincent's Bham - 7on/7off

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: St. Vincent's Birmingham (Downtown)

Schedule: Full-Time, Nights, 7 on/7 off | Mon -Sun | 70 hours per pay period

 

What you will do:

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
  • Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
  • Repackages bulk medications.
  • Receives and stores incoming supplies.
  • Serves as liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professional by providing information as necessary.

 

What you will need:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
  • Required Credential(s):
    • Candidate must obtain certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or The Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) within 6 months of employment
    • Intravenous compounding required
    • Hospital experience preferred
