RN- Admissions and Transfers (PT Nights)

Are you an RN looking to expand your career? Ascension Connect is seeking a Nurse to work part time nights in our Admissions and Transfers Department for St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. 

Hours: Part Time Nights  6:30 PM- 6:30 am (2 days per week) M-F, including rotating weekends and holidays. 2 weekends every 5 weeks required. 

If you have 5+ years as an RN with a critical care bedside background this would be a wonderful opportunity for you! 

Must be local to Indianapolis for this position.

What You Will Do

Typical day consists of assisting facilities outside of the hospital with getting them in to St Vincent Hospital and working to get ER patients admitted within the facility and place them where needed. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to calls in a time-sensitive manner. Ensures appropriate and accurate routing of calls.
  • Dispatches emergency units and coordinates air medical flights as appropriate and per established algorithms.
  • Maintains documentation of calls and physician/service referrals for legal, medical and statistical purposes.
  • Follows up with referring entities for ease of access, marketing, evaluation, and quality improvement.

What You Will Need

5+ years critical care/bedside background. PACU or ER will be considered as well.

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
    • Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
