Meet Tony, Military Talent Attraction Specialist
Hello! I am Tony Messina and like you I am a veteran. I retired from the Army in 2018, after almost 25 years of service. I like to think I had a good plan when I transitioned out. My wife is also a veteran and we put a five year plan into action in 2013 prior to getting out. I fully utilized the transition assistance program, took advantage of the VA Benefits Delivery at Discharge program (BDD), and attended every seminar, class, and mentor meeting available.

However, Murphy’s law was in full effect and as we all know “no plan survives first contact”. I got into Real Estate for four years and really enjoyed it and found great success. I worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation, flipped houses, held a position as V.P. of Workforce Development. I was hired for every position I interviewed for and found success but never felt satisfied. All the while my wife was feeling the same struggle. Finding a career that was a good fit. Thanks to our network we both found our current positions with Ascension.
