What You Will Do
While patients are with us they often must be moved from their room to another area or department for testing or diagnostics. The Patient Transporter team is who keeps things moving, safe and on time. Transporters are responsible for making sure that the right patient is taken to the right place and that this is documented appropriately. You will ensure the comfort of the patient and be attentive and alert for any signs of patient distress during transport.
You are key in the patient experience as you provide customer service and monitor them to be sure they are safe as they are transported. Not only will you impact the experience of the patients you transport but as an Associate who is all over the hospital you will be an ambassador of our culture to all you encounter in the hallways. You will get to know the entire hospital as you will work with almost every unit and department.
