Surgical Tech – Labor and Delivery, Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside
Join our family of dedicated, highly valued OB Surgical Techs at Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside! As the flagship location for Ascension St. Vincent’s HealthCare, Riverside is a 528-bed hospital with a fast paced, exciting atmosphere and an ever-constant flow of patients.
As a Surgical Tech in Labor and Delivery, you will facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
Hands required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Maintains instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
Assists surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery.
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS from American Heart Association (AHA)
1 year OR Surgical Tech experience
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
