We Are Hiring

Employee Assistance Program EAP Counselor | Ascension Wisconsin Rapids/Plover Central Wisconsin | Full Time Days | 36 Hours Weekly Hours are generally flexible during normal business hours (8am-5pm or 9am-6pm). Weekly evening coverage (6pm latest appointment once or twice per week) will be needed to meet client demands.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Wisconsin, you will have the opportunity to provide assessment, referral and follow-up services for associates and their families through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Responsibilities:

  • Determines client's need for counseling or referral to appropriate external resources. Provides assessment and referral services and ensures timely delivery of contracted services.
  • Provides short-term counseling and follow-up care to client.
  • Provides coordination with external resources and follow-up care when client is referred. Provides case management services through coordination with external resources.
  • Provides orientation and training to all staff regarding the EAP counseling program. Provides consultations with management regarding managing troubled associates, critical incidents and workplace violence.
  • Public speaking for mid-Sized (25-100) groups. Must be comfortable leading training/edcuational events occasionally.
  • Stong computer skills.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • One or more of the following:
      • Counselor credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
      • Social Worker credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
      • Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 

Education:

  • Diploma 
    • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience:

  • None required.
