Professional onboarding program
Ascension Via Christi Nursing leadership believes that investing in our associates from day one is essential for successful transition to professional practice. Advancing clinical professional practice is supported by creating a safe learning environment in which our new associates will gain skills and confidence to provide excellent quality care. Our onboarding program creates an environment of highly engaging simulation and hands on practice. This program is an interactive opportunity to discover Ascension’s culture and enhance clinical skills. All new clinical associates will attend Ascension Via Christi’s Regional Onboarding Program prior to providing patient care in their clinical area. Speciality track curriculum includes focused training around the speciality track area that associates are working in and 6 months of extended specialty skill/competency training conducted in a cohort model.
